29 faces 26

This is a project I stared in the summer, but as many things I didn't finish it so it has remained half done until now. I decides to get a move on so I could complete it as one of my 29 faces.

I found in a charity shop this little wooden heart, it was just plain with a pale blue outer rim. I collaged some napkin daisies onto the rim. I think they look like little pressed daisies. ( I used to love pressing flowers when I was young )

I thought It needed a sweet innocent face. so here is Daisy. This was as far as I got in the summer.
So after a bit of acrylic paint she is finally done!

I added some sparkly jewel centres to the daisies.

  1. I thought they were really pressed daisies on the heart until you revealed the napkin trick! So cute, I think Daisy is a triumph :-)

  2. What a great charity shop find just waiting to be decorated. I love what you have done with it. You have inspired me to have a go at drawing a 'face' in my AJ. I'll let you know how I get on.
    Have a happy week

  14. I love the make over idea.. I need to do that with a few things. lol Sorry Im late.. I didn't get to see anyone till now. We had to take my daughters dog back to Columbus ( a 3hour drive to have his staples out and 3 hours back ) it kinda killed the day you can say. But I got a pack of new markers.. oh I'm so bad! 15. The little girl is sweet against her background of daisies. It makes me think of daisy chains, and I am sure you made those too. Altogether your lovely innocent Daisy and the hanging heart make an ideal gift that someone will treasure.
