29 faces 7

This week I have been participating in the month long 29 face challenge and for my day 7 I experimented with materials and mediums. The thing about this challenge is that the act of creating a face every day makes me try to look at how to make each face different in some way.
I used kitchen tin foil to make her colourful robe. I stuck the foil down and then painted some metallic acrylic turquoise  over the surface, The spots of colour were made with some rather nice purple nail polish I have! I then scratched it a little to make the swirls.

In case you missed any of my faces this week here is a wee catch up.
It's been a busy week so haven't had as much time as I would have liked to make each face. I did want to experiment more with new materials, hopefully I will do a bit of that over the coming weeks of the challenge.

Linking up to 29 faces
and paint party friday where I am delighted to be featured Artist this week!!! Thand you so much to the PPF team. :)

  3. I like the mistiness around the face, which gives it an ethereal feel, and somehow the robe gives this lady a Japanese aura. One of the most enjoyable things about the 29 faces challenge is the freedom it gives us to experiment, at the same time as the discipline of creating a face every day, come what may.

  10. This face is my favourite of the week. The colours, and of course, your texture is so appealing. The yellowy green is dancing beautifully and luminating in the background. The shiny aluminum foil is doing the two step with the background. How captivating! Your lady's face is captivating... if think it is her blues eyes... they connect to the background and her robe! You have the artist's triangle! Finally, the collaged paper hair puts a perfect finishing touch to the young lady! Bravo! I am so glad we crossed paths! Happy weekend to you!
