Neocolor berries

I have been using my neocolor crayons to draw my favourite Rowan berries. I love their rich colour

The Rowan tree is also a very magical and features in many folk-law tales.

This year there seems to be a bumper crop of berries. Perhaps because of the warm spring.

I have also discovered a wonderful new white marker. Posca pens, never used them before but I am now smitten, I have struggled finding a good white marker and this one may be the one!

  1. Lovely berry painting! I've been playing with my Neocolours today too. I love how they're so immediate and I don't have to stop to mix the colours! I use a white Sharpie pen. Do you think this one that you have just bought is better? :)

  8. Beautiful colours in your drawing! Neocolors are my favorite watercolour pencils because of the rich colours, and Posca pens are my absolute favorite markers. I haven't found one that comes close yet. I like Sharpies too, but the Posca's don't "spit" as easily as the Sharpies, so they stay my number one :-)

  15. I have rowan trees in my garden and today I saw one full of berries... so much so that there were hardly any leaves. I hadn't heard of neo colour either.
    Fantastic vibrant work ;D
    Enjoy your weekend.

  16. It was lovely to have a 'walk' though your world, seeing berries, art and landscape that I don't see here in California.
