Neocolor crayon and collage on bamboo paper |
It's been a few weeks since I last posted having been struck down by a horrible virus, which then left me with pneumonia. I am not a good patient but lack of energy and breath made doing nothing very easy!!
Feeling the energy levels returning I finally opened my tin of neoocolor crayons for the first time in weeks to do a little sketch.
I am still not up to full speed yet but each day I can do a little more.
I sketched some of my 'get well Daffodils' They are such joyful flowers.
I added some book-paper petals before the water wash.
And using picmonkey I blended the original photograph and the neocolor drawing.
Hope to be up to full speed, blogging and creating very soon.....
Linking to Paint party Friday
Oh Morag, I have missed your lovely artwork over the past weeks. Sorry to hear you have been unwell and hope you get well soon. Thanks for sharing your lovely daffodils with us.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to Blogland Morag! I'm so sorry to hear how ill you've been, I wondered why you hadn't posted for a while. I love how your sketch has blended with the photo, I didn't know you could do this with Picmonkey, so much for me to learn! It's a great effect, it looks like a handmade collage using parts of a photo with paint.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel much better soon and back to normal, have as much rest as you can, it can really take it out of you. Jess xx
Oh Morag, so sorry to hear you have been so ill, lots of health and healing wishes sent your way! Your daffodils are blooming and so beautiful, I love the whole effect you have captured with these, always so creative even when ill. Best of wishes to you! xx
ReplyDeleteOh Morag sorry to hear you have been unwell, I had pneumonia a few years ago and can imagine how you are feeling. Sending healing thoughts your way. Your sketch is beautiful and I love what you did with the blending, given it a new depth. I have never used neocolour, dont think I seen them here like so many art materials I see you guys use. Will have to look on line. Best wishes hugs Sharon.

ReplyDeletelovely that you have begun art not that you are feeling better. flowers, your flowers are a joy to see.
Most beautiful, daffodils. I sure hope you are well very soon. It's scary and certainly no fun to have diseases that affect your lungs.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you have been ill. Hope you are on the mend. I absolutely love your cheerful daffodils with the bits of newsprint. They are very springlike and a signal that soon the snowdrops will be coming up under the trees and the snow will thaw. Have you had a lot of snow recently? We are expecting some big storms in Baltimore. Stay warm and have a whisky toddy! Happy PPF
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer to get a virus and the pneumonia on top of that. DO make sure to gets LOTS of rest. Hope you're in tip top shape real soon. Your daffodils are gorgeous- I love how you merged the two images together-and the touches of text in the petals are wonderful!
