Seagull dance

Been very busy recently working in lots of bits and pieces. The seagull dance was finished this week and is now at Skyeworks Gallery in Portree.
The summer is as skye is...one day sparkling sun the next mist and drizzle. Seagull dance is definately one of those sparkle sunshine days. Earlier in the week Paramount movies were on the island filming the new Transformers movie. Those days were unfortunately not the best. I believe they intended to ride stunt horses along the ridge...the rain and drizzle must have made shooting anything a wee bit tricky! I stopped and took a photo but most of the action seemed to be in the catering trailer out the rain!

  1. Seagull Dance! I love that title for your latest, as usual, beautiful piece Morag. How exciting to have movie makers in your area, it will be great when the film comes out to watch it and recognise the landscape!

  2. Ooh how exciting! Will have to look out for the Scottish scenery when it comes out. Sunny days are best but even drizzly days can look amazing in your neck of the woods. At least its a sunny day in your painting. I always love the colour and texture you capture in your skies.

  8. Love the beautiful dancing seagulls piece. I bet someone snaps that up quickly:) It can be interesting to see some action when a movie is being filmed nearby. Hope it doesn't interfere with the locals daily lives though. Happy PPF!

  10. Gorgeous Dance of seagulls and love the mood you've capture of the Sea! Because we are called Hollywood North it's not uncommon to see trucks like this lined the roads in our area for filming! There is a new large studio in the works just minutes away so I'm sure there will be even more movie action in the near future! Very exciting for an area!
