Wild sewn cards

One of the the things about working in collage is that you end up with a lot of 'bits'
'Bits' of paper, 'bits' of papercloth, 'bits of organza..... 'bits in general!
I don't like waste and kept all my bits in a box, the box was getting fuller so I decided to make some cards with some of the scrap pieces.

Wild sewn cards...
All different, all unique...

Iv'e been on a mission and made loads!!

  3. Your 'Wild Sewn' cards look amazing Morag! It's something I enjoy making too, so much nicer to give than a commercially printed card, and they can always be framed, so that always makes them extra special too.

  5. What a wonderful and thrifty way to use the bits and bobs that you've accumulated! I have many tins filled with things I'll use 'one day'! :) I love to see works of art made from unexpected places, yours are beautiful.

  6. Wow, that are some very unique cards! I always keep little leftovers of fabric too when I'm sewing, but I never in a million years would think about making cards out of it. These look fantastic!

  8. Wow, these are gorgeous! Well, what project of yours wouldn't be. Such many coloured sceneries in such a small format, yet very effective. Have you ever thought of submitting to Sew Somerset or Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazines, I wonder? They might love to have your work on their pages!
