Three of a kind and something new.

Three new little wooden panels on my workdesk, each slightly different. Small fragments of an Island summer.
Collaged with paper, gesso, paint and molding paste

Also been working on a new commission... not much to show as yet, but if you follow my blog you will probably know that the paper layers are just a starting point... lots more to add.

  1. The small panels are scrumptious, those colours and shapes are so beautiful! I love the start of the big one too, it's going to be fantastic!

  2. I get so frustrated when I see your beautiful work, because I want to see it close up and 'feel' the textures! Your three panels look gorgeous and so full of enticing colour and pattern. I will be looking forward to seeing your commissioned piece finished too.

  3. I really do love your tiny houses on the horizon - I want to live there and look out of the window at that beautiful landscape with those exquisite flowers! I'm really looking forward to seeing how the blue one turns out, it's so lush and rich.

  9. I love the three paintings Morag. At first I saw it as a triptych and it still could be. Such joy in this one. Your commission is off to a great start too!

  11. The panels at the top with the flowers have this very bristly, thistly quality...you can almost smell the scents of nature and feel your legs all roughed up as you walk in brush
The bottom one is very free and full of sea and sky, it will be interesting to see where it ends up :)

  12. Love the wood panel paintings, Morag. I had never thought of my doing art on wood but I think I will give it a try soon. Your new collage/painting is going well. I look forward to each step of its progress.

  14. Those three panels are so beautiful - the colours are gorgeous and they look so tactile - I really want to reach out and touch them! It's good to know I'm not the only adult who loves Deadly 60 (Of course Steve Backshall is pretty easy on the eye so I'm sure it isn't too much of a hardship for mums to been dragged along to his roadshows for the kids who are into wildlife!!)
