semi abstracts

I enjoy working in a semi abstract style, primarily my passion is pattern and colour and these two pieces illustrate this. The first' spruce ridge' is on canvas and as you can see combines torn paper and paint.

This much larger piece is on wood. Entitled 'on a clear day' it is a flow of pattern and colour.Inspired by the views from Northern Skye looking east towards the mainland, in front are some of my small 3D croft mini collages which combine paperclay and paper.

  3. these are beautiful. you create the most wonderful texture with your mixed media pieces and I particularly like the paint on wood. I've only ever painted on wood once a few years ago I liked how it looked.

  10. Just beautiful. There is a true talent in torn paper art. I don't have that. You however do. That large piece is magnificent. I would love to see close ups of the smaller pieces. Have a great weekend.

  12. I just adore the scrumptious details up close. They are gorgeous. I can only imagine what they look like in person... spectacular I'm guessing! Those trees in the background are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

  13. Each piece is exquisite! But I think I really love "spruce ridge." Just to say which one I'd pick, but you know how much I love all your work. I love the mixture of paper work and paint, the richness and how you capture that wild Scottish beauty, fabulous works as always!
