Not much activity on the work desk today. These pieces still need finishing. ( The eagle eyed of you may be upset by the very messy heatgun :) )
The weather has been too nice to spend too much time inside so over Easter I took loads of Springtime photographs instead. I adore spring, its colour and fresh scents filling my head.
The wood is filled with a carpet of beautiful yellow celandine,
C.S Lewis mentions celandines in the Lion witch and the wardrobe, when Aslan comes to Narnia and the woods change from ' January to may in a few hours'
the children notice 'Wondrous things happening. Coming suddenly around a corner into a glade of silver birch trees Edmund saw the ground covered in all directions with little yellow flowers- Celandine'
The trees are brimming with blossom.
Everywhere new life appears.
Isn't he gorgeous! :)
Beautiful photos! Sometimes you just need to get outside and breath the air:)
ReplyDeleteAnyone who has a heat gun without paint isn't an artist! Yours looks exactly as it should!
ReplyDeleteWow, spring really has come for a stay. Here some plants have sprouted, the grass is starting to green, but the trees haven't begun to blossom. Calves are being born, naturally! Yesterday, I saw the first two butterflies of the season, and today, I heard frogs for the first time!
The photos are lively! The lamb is adorable! Will we see one in your art soon?
The long banged longhorn is equally adorable! Thanks for sharing your spring with us!
Lovely photos, that little lamb is so cute. I love spring, it's my fave season.
ReplyDeleteLove all the Spring photos - esp. the bright white lamb :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Beautiful spring photos they really make you smile! Those cows always remind me of my Grandfather as he had a huge picture of these cattle up in the scottish highlands, hanging in his lounge. Have a happy week… Oh I'm just off to smear some paint on my heat gun LOL! Lynda B 29
ReplyDeleteThat's a heat gun?? I thought it was a very paint-covered brayer at first! My word. But I love the look of those little sample strips. Tell me more....
ReplyDeleteVery pretty garden too - is there a more lovely sight than daffodils in spring sunshine?
Happy WOYWW!

Now that's what I call a work desk! Spring, along with Autumn are my favourite seasons. Your pics are lovely especially the Highland cow and her calf, When I visit Scotland I am disappointed if I don't see a Highland cow
ReplyDeleteIt's a working heat gun, it would be wrong if it was pristine!! And I adore highland cows, in the 80s, when I had Big Hair (also auburn) I rather resembled one :-)
ReplyDeleteWill email you about a dragonfly pic.
Hugs, LLJ 14 xx
Well done for making the most of the lovely weather - crafting will still be there when it's wet. I can't wait til our Scottish holiday in July - my fix for the year! Have a great week, Chris # 19 xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spring pictures- isn't nature wonderful? Interesting things happening on your desk too- curious now, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #54 xxx

Gorgeous photos! Spring has really sprung where you are! And I love the heat gun - much nicer than a pristine never-been-used one!

Loved the spring photos, Morag. The sheep farm near me has cows in the field this year, first time ever. I know they put cows in there every year to fertilize the ground, I guess. But they never do it in the spring. I always love seeing those sparkling white babies. Your Wednesday workspace looks like outdoor work to me. But fun!

ReplyDeleteIt is such a beautiful place, my hubby loved it, just a little cool for my taste. The flowers are just magnificent. Your heat gun looks like it's well loved and used, just perfect.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

What gorgeous photos Morag. Like you I love spring-the lambs skipping round all over the fields being our house are a joy to watch. I didn't know what those flowers were-you learn something new every day!

Celandine is such a beautiful word and a beautiful sight with their heart-shaped leaves. Much ignored because it is a 'wild' flower. I also love dandelions, and at the moment the verges along the lanes on both sides are beautiful, packed with the golden blooms, to be followed by the 'dandelion clocks' as we used to call them - the time was how many puffs it took to blow all the seeds off I think.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. I was thinking perhaps you were in Skye over the holidays, so the photos may be from there? And co-incidentally the house being build in Grand Designs the other night was in Sky, the home of two Skye artists plus their studio.
Lovely views. I can see your heat tool is well loved lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting, Angela x48
