The' Summer of color' challenge has come to an end for this year and yet again I find that it is by far the most fun Art challenge around. I thought I would do a little montage of my six pieces of colour. I tried to vary the mediums I used and experiment a little... have fun basically which is what I think the challenge is all about.
|
Week one, neocolor water soluble crayons |
|
week two, gouache on watercolour board |
|
Week three, stencilled modelling paste, acrylics and embroidered 3D dragonfly on wood panel |
|
Week 4, acrylics on heavy acrylic paper |
|
week five, acrylic, citrasolv papers on canvas |
|
Week six, gouache, ink, machine embroidery on heavy watercolour paper |
Thank you Kristin for organising the challenge and all my lovely followers for their wonderful comments, you really do brighten my day...

ReplyDeleteWow, such wonderful creations! So many different effects and techniques evoking so many different reponses :)

A wonderful, colorful post! Thanks for sharing. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the SOC challenge too. I think it stretches you using a limited palette, encouraging us to create something we may not normally think of. I love your montage. I wish I knew how to do that. Is there a facility on blogger to enable you to do it ?
ReplyDeleteLove to see them all lined up like that ....
ReplyDeleteMorag, how fun to see them all together. I think week 4 is my favorite, I'm such a pink person. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you had a blast with the challenge, based on the beautiful and colorful paintings you created. The flower in week 2 and the landscape in week 5 are my favorites because of their bold contrasting colors. Happy PPF and Blessings!

Your work is absolutely beautiful! Each piece is so different, and so lovely in its own way. I especially like weeks 4, 5, and 6.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all 6 pieces together and I love that instead if sticking to the same medium throughout you changed it each week-you really did embrace the challenge and I agreed it's definitely my favourite one.
ReplyDeletethese projects are all so diverse and really wonderful!! I couldn't choose one as a favorite;I love them all:)
ReplyDeleteAll of them are bright and beautiful. I really like the orange one (week two).
ReplyDeleteEach of these pieces are so individual and fresh. I adore them.
ReplyDeleteI especially the piece that is embrodiered with stencilled collage. Very creative and amazing textural results.
